NAVRGB is a navigation video interface device that adds video capabilities to vehicles with factory installed navigation systems, or full color information screens. NAVRGB does not replace or add a factory navigation system, it only creates additional video inputs for the navigation system or color screen. NAVRGB video interface is 100% PLUG & PLAY - no wire cutting required. NavTool PLUG & PLAY installation harnesses are made using OEM connectors. NAVRGB video interfaces come with two composite video inputs: video 1 is dedicated for any video source, video 2 is dedicated for back-up camera. When the vehicle is in reverse, the screen will automatically switch to reverse camera (back-up camera overrides both DVD and navigation screen). NAVRGB is an externally wired Plug & Play video interface that is installed in-line of the navigation computer and navigation screen. It works simply by interrupting the video signal from the navigation computer when it is activated, or when 12V are applied on the reverse camera line. When this occurs the navigation system video image will be replaced by the video source that is connected to the NavTool interface. NAVRGB is a video-only input interface module and does not have any audio inputs. If the vehicle does not have a factory-installed AUX audio jack, then an audio FM modulator/transmitter or an auxiliary audio input interface adapter is needed to connect audio signals from an external AV source to the factory audio system. NavTool is video-in-motion enabled, so the video image will stay on the screen even with the car in motion, however we do not recommend doing this. NOTE: This vehicle has an immobilizer system that needs to be bypassed
during remote start operation. Use DEI part number 555U.
*1 The SECU (Smart Entrance Control Unit) is located to the passengers side
of the steering column.
*2 Can also find red/green or red/yellow at fuse box.
*3 Find lt. green for the drivers door in pin 1, red/blue for the passenger
front door in pin 2, and red/white for the rear doors in pin 3. Use all 3
wires and diode isolate each.
*4 Requires a high-current ground for activation.
*5 Located on the rear of the instrument cluster in the white plug. Do not
start the car with the cluster unplugged. Can also find the white/green at
the ECM located in the front of the center console on the transmission hump.
The wiring is easily reached by removing the panel just to the front of the
center console on the passenger side. DO NOT UNPLUG THE ECM.
*6 Located on the rear of the instrument cluster in the 20 pin brown plug.
Do not start the car with the cluster unplugged. Can also find the wire at
the ECM.
*7 The headlight relay is in the relay box under the hood.
*8 Meter these wires while turning the key in the driver door. Unlock
requires a double pulse.
ign coils: yellow/red, blue/red, purple/white, green/red, gray, gray/red,
common is red and black
injectors: red/black, red/yellow, blue/white, red/white, red/blue,
purple/red, common is red
reverse light green/white(+) DKP
hazard pink(-) SECU pin 7
key sense black/red(+) ign harness, SECU pin 25
trunk key cyl green/black(-) SECU pin 12
parking lights (+) are located high on top of the fuse box in a 7 pin white
plug.
FAA/lock - blue(-) located in low in the drivers door towards the
rear FAD/unlock - yellow (-) same location but requires
double pulse
horn red at steering column (-)
fuel door release yel/red (high current -) drivers running board
trunk pin purple/white -
bose amp is on rear deck
