Dash
after we have the new JVC MP3 player in it... Notice the SILVER match
is nice looking and the TILT of the JVC is a nice feature for a car
that has the radio mounted so low in the dash! A great
improvement... |

I think this is the first car in
nearly 30 years that I have seen that had to have the passenger side seat
removed to swap the in dash radio!
Beautiful car! |

The EMPEG player! Cool stuff!

Puttin an alarm in a new Chrysler

New Kenwood Ham radio

We have a reputation for being able to
REMOTE mount controls. In these pictures we are remote mounting an Alpine head units face
in a Classic Automobiles sun visor with the main unit being tucked safely away under the
seat, also a 12 disk changer in the car trunk. You can see the green sun visor in the
first picture. The remote installation was possible using very flat computer ribbon
cable. We can remote mount almost anything.
An early 60s corvette, we do a lot of restored automobiles. In this one we installed a
Panasonic AM FM CD player so we remote mounted the front of the radio on the fold down
center console so we could leave the factory radio with original looks.....

Installer down in the compression chamber
while building a bass system for TWELVE 15 inch woofers.

Some woofs in the back of a Suburban, above the woofs there are two amplifiers, voltage
and aperage meters and a fuse block.

We are building a Custom console for the Suburban including drink holders, lighter plugs for
future accessories, and of course the head unit and processors... Also notice the Sony
changer...See how good it looks when finished! A console like this is only in the
$500 range. Much better than the factory console!
Custom Console for Toyota Landcruiser with hiding places for toys.

Simple amp rack in a Mercedes Benz

We do a lot of Porsches!

Some old photos, an amp rack with hinge at bottom that allows the rack to swing down to
service wiring in the rear, there are two key locks at the top and a long piano hinge at
the bottom! Also note the old ADS P100 amps along the bottom, these were some of the first
real hi fidelity car amps.. also the Nakamichi PA300 amp and the ADS electronic
crossovers.. behind the amp rack is the sub box...
This is an UNUSUAL tweeter installation, the tweet is a JBL bullet (forget the number)
they rate it at 110Db 1w/1meter! Serious stuff in the dash of an Aerostar van!

Autotek amp rack built in the side of a SUV, the amps won't show after the panel is
re-installed.
Audio Control 1/3 octave sound analyzer! Couldn't live without it.
We installed a foldable camping tent from Australia on this Land Cruiser
Custom door panels
believe it or not, a CITY BUS!

This installation is in a full size ford Pick Up Extended cab.
picture 1- Woofer enclosures for 4 Pioneer 12s were built to fit in the rear of the truck
where the back seat was removed, customers wanted the box to be sturdy enough for people
to sit on and to look like it came with the truck.
picture 2 - Amp rack above speaker enclosures and on back wall of truck just below the
window has 4 Lanzar amps
picture 3 - View of enclosure with plexiglass window to allow a view of the woofers and
slots below covered in grill cloth.
picture 4 - Very sturdy enclosure with amp rack above it
picture 5 - Close up detail of amp rack upholstery
picture 6 - Close up detail of enclosure with plex window and grill cloth slots. look
close and you can see the back of one of the four Pioneer 12s, we were gonna put some
lighting inside the box but the customer ran ot of money.... Maybe next paycheck...
This was a custom console built for a full size Ford Bronco the front and rear areas have
electric tambor doors that open and close to allow access to the gear inside. The front
compartment has a mobile phone mount and a TV monitor that hooks to the backup camera
hidden in the spare tire mount. The rear compartment has the Sony CD Changer and EQ and
another mobile phone and also a Cobra CB radio

Here is an installation in a Mercedes 190
There is an Alpine am fm cass indash and we modified the stock Becker mercedes radio so
its old face can cover the Alpine radio and this install will look stock! There is an EQ
in the ash tray, when closed it is undetectable, Bass control knob is in wood console
Alpine alarm and cell phone. Trunk photos show 2 Kicker 10s and Alpine 6 disk changer with
ADS amplifier flush mounted. The spare tire is easily reached as we built a custom hinged
floor. Also built in hiding places and two sirens that are trunk mounted to deter theft
... The mercedes trunk unlock motor was disconnected and a new lock/unlock motor was
installed and hooked to one of the alarm remote buttons.

To do truly Custom work, you must have the proper test equipment and not be afraid to
completely disassemble a car!
This was one of the systems in the old 1967 Camaro I used to
drive back in 1982 though 1985. There are two 15 inch woofers, mounted in 3 cu ft. boxes.
Primarily installed to DEBUNK the folks of that time period SUPPOSEDLY IN THE KNOW about
speaker design, who told me 15s wont work in a car.... Damn, its a good thing we refused
to listen to the so called "EXPERTS" of the day. Also notice the 4 12 inch
woofers used for midbass, and the hearing protectors needed for testing the sound system
OR shooting the 12guage Remington I always used to always carry with me.

This is 2 15s in each door of this car, with 4 4inch mids above it... The 15s are extended
range JBL PRO musician speakers primarily for mid and midbass.. What you cant see in this
picture is the 4 18s that went behind the seats.
|
 |
| In this photo we are in the process
of
rebuilding the door, we did it with Vinyl and ABS plastic.. It looked pretty slick, we had
to change the mounting of the door opener handle. Door is reinforced with 2x4s and 3/4
inch plywood. The windows would NO longer roll down.... |
 |
|
Here is the box from hell! This box was for 4 18s and we didn't want any sidewall flex!
Have you ever seen a box with so many braces? And this box was built IN THE CAR!

Picture one is 2 Kicker 15s and a couple of JBL amps and electronic xover mounted in the
middle.
Picture 2 is and amp and Bazooka tube mounted in the rear of a SUV.
